About Family Photography

Family photography is so needed, now more than ever, it makes a house feel like a home and reminds you of wonderful memories that you and your children can look back on in years to come.

As a family photographer in the Charlotte area, I believe that family photography should capture more than just how you look, and your face looking at the camera. It should be a complete picture of how it feels to be in your family. 

I love unscripted moments within a family photography session, and sure we will get that "everyone look at the camera and smile" but what I love more are those moments when you feel totally at ease and are able to be completely yourselves.

Whether that's tickling your toddler, snuggling your older kids who are almost out of the house, or stealing a sweet moment with your partner, these are the moments and memories that family photography should capture.

So for my family photography sessions I simply guide you to where the light is best and then we have a fun, relaxed session.  So there's no awkward posing, or forced smiles. Every family photoshoot is natural and relaxed, allowing us to capture family photos that are authentically you.

Wardrobe selections from my client closest are also included in your session. Meaning, you don't have to shop for what to wear unless you want to. You can easily reserve your session then come into the studio (or virtually) we can pull clothing that's timeless, photographs beautifully, and everyone will enjoy. 

Family sessions are reserved all year round. My favorite months to photograph in are: Nov-Feb and June-August. That's right. I love the pain browns of winter coupled with that low orange sun, and the light greens of summer with that yellow setting sun. 

All family sessions are private events, reserved at a time that works for your family, and at a unique location.
